Indigenous Education  As we continue learning about the Indigenous Peoples of Canada at Landmark Elementary School, we will be spending the day learning with Josh Dueck on Thursday, March 7th. Josh is a member of the Fisher River Cree Nation. Josh works in Student Services at Steinbach Bible College doing various roles, including serving as the Indigenous Student Advisor. Happy Retirement to Mrs. Susan Herrmann, our part-time secretary. Susan has been a dedicated employee in the Hanover School Division for nineteen years. Winter Fun Day!

Winter Fun Day  On Friday, January 26th, we will have Winter Fun Day at LES. If the weather is too cold, we will reschedule for Friday, February 9th. We have planned some indoor and outdoor activity stations. The stations will take place from 10:20 to 2:20, with a break for lunch. Nov. 15 – Report Cards, Christmas Concert

Completion of Term One Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 23rd, from 4:00-8:00. The following day, report cards will be posted on the Parent Portal by 4:00. We have decided to have the parent-teacher conferences before the report card as it allows the teacher to connect with the parent about the child’s learning, providing the context for reading the report card.
