Floor Hockey Tournament
On Tuesday, January 30th, some of our Grade 5 and 6 students will head to Green Valley School for a floor hockey tournament. Good luck!
Winter Fun Day
Students and staff had a great time at Winter Fun Day on Friday! We were thankful for the mild day and the staff for planning a fun day of inside and outside stations. A big thank you to the following volunteers who helped make our day a success – Zac Penner, Pam Koop, Amy Ndahayo, Grade Twelve students from Landmark Collegiate, LES Grade Six Leadership students, Elder Vi Plett for making us bannock, and Gilbert Therrien for providing students with a horse-drawn wagon ride.
February is I Love to Read Month
We will be celebrating the love of reading in February. We have some fun activities planned around the theme of mystery. Parents are invited to attend our kick-off assembly on Thursday, February 1st, at 9:08, and the Corny Rempel assembly on Tuesday, February 6th, at 9:08.
We invite parents, grandparents, or older siblings who would like to be guest readers at LES. If you are interested, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher. Our students love to have their family members be part of their classroom. Please note that for this activity, you do not need to complete your volunteer permission forms, as you will be under the teacher’s direct supervision at all times.
Lunchtime clubs
We have several clubs that our students can participate in during the lunch hour:
Coding Club (Gr. 3 and 4), Drama and Loose Parts (Gr. 1 and 2), Puzzle Club (Gr. 5 and 6) and Volleyball Club (Gr. 5 and 6).
