As our school year ends, we want to thank our families for their continued support. It is a privilege to spend our days with your children and see the progress that each one is making. We also thank our staff for their commitment to creating a safe and welcoming learning environment! We wish everyone a joyful and safe summer.

Here are a few things to note before the end of the school year:

Classroom Placements for Next Year

An email with your child’s homeroom placement for the 2025/2026 school year will be sent by the end of the day on Monday, June 23rd.

On Wednesday, June 25th, during the day, students will meet with their homeroom teacher and classmates for the 2025/2026 school year. Please note that some students will remain with their current teacher for a second year.

Grade Six Farewell – June 24th @ 2:30

On June 24th, we will say goodbye to our awesome group of Grade Six students who have been excellent leaders in our school. Families are welcome to attend.

Following the assembly, the Grade 1-5 students are preparing a special performance as part of the farewell.

Summer Fun Day – June 26th – 10:20-2:20

On Thursday, June 26th, the last day of school, all students will participate in summer fun stations. Some of our stations (weather dependent) will involve water if students want to cool off and get wet. One station will have a slip-and-slide; students may bring a bathing suit and towel to school if they wish to participate in the water stations. We encourage all students to apply sunscreen at home, wear a hat, bring a water bottle and an extra set of clothes.

Library Books 

Please return overdue library books as soon as possible. Overdue books or lost book fines are due by Tuesday, June 24th. Fines may be paid directly to the school or via the Parent Portal.

Lost & Found

We have many items waiting for their owners in front of the school office – come by to take a look.

Term Three report cards will be posted on the Parent Portal by the end of the day on June 26th.

Summer Reading Program

We encourage all students to read this summer to help them maintain their progress with their reading skills. Please see the attached copy of the Summer Reading program. Please note that if you want to sign out books for the program, the due date is Tuesday, June 24th. Happy reading!

Moving

If you plan to move before the start of the school year, please contact the school and the transportation department at 204-320-2347 to let them know. The transportation department is open all summer, but the school office is open till June 27th and opens again on August 20th.
