  •  Volunteer paperwork- Pick up or Return

Strong Connections – September 25 and 28

Kindergarten students follow their regular schedule. All Gr 1-6 students will attend either Friday or Monday. A reminder email with your child’s Strong Connection day was sent out last week.

Orange Shirt Day Event – September 29

To recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day) we will begin with an assembly at 1:10 pm (Families and Community members are welcome to join us). Students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt if they have one and Orange Shirt Day stickers will be available for students who don’t have an orange shirt but would like to show recognition.  After our assembly, we will meet the staff and students of Landmark Collegiate in their field to join as a Landmark Community to remember the impact of residential schools and commit to working together to build belonging and hope for all of our students. 

National Truth and Reconciliation Day is Wednesday, September 30. There are no classes on this day.

*Update: Due to the availability of our guest speaker our Terry Fox assembly and Run will take place in the morning and not the afternoon.

Terry Fox Run – Oct 2  9:30 am assembly with run to follow 

We will kick off our Terry Fox Run with a virtual assembly with Kirsten Fox (Terry Fox’s niece). Families are welcome to join us for the assembly and the Terry Fox Run, which will follow after the assembly. Our Run will take place in the Landmark Collegiate field. Students are encouraged to bring a Toonie for Terry by October 2.

A big shout-out to Kurt Schroeder for keeping our front flowerbeds looking great. Staff, students, families, and guests are welcomed with beautiful flowers and often express appreciation for the joy these plants bring.
