To LES parents and caregivers,
As our school year ends, we want to thank our families for their continued support. It is a privilege to spend our days with your children and see the progress that each one is making. We also thank our staff for their commitment to creating a safe and welcoming learning environment! We wish everyone a joyful and safe summer.
Here are a few things to note before the end of the school year:
Classroom Placements for the 2024/2025
An email with your child’s homeroom placement for the 2024/2025 school year will be sent by the end of the day on Monday, June 24th.
On Wednesday, June 26th, during the day, students will meet with their homeroom teacher and classmates for the 2024/2025 school year. Please note that some students will remain with their current teacher for a second year.
Grade Six Farewell – June 25th @ 2:15
On June 25th, we will say goodbye to our awesome group of Grade Six students who have been excellent leaders in our school. Families are welcome to attend.
Following the assembly, the Grade 1-5 students are preparing a special outdoor performance as part of the farewell. The outdoor performance will start around 2:40-2:50. All are welcome to attend the outdoor performance!
Summer Fun Day – June 27th – 10:20-2:10
On Thursday, June 27th, the last day of school, all students will participate in summer fun stations. Some of our stations (weather dependent) will involve water if students want to cool off and get wet. One station will have a slip-and-slide; students may bring a bathing suit and towel to school if they wish to participate in the water stations. We encourage all students to apply sunscreen at home, wear a hat, bring a water bottle and an extra set of clothes.
Library Books
Please return overdue library books as soon as possible. Overdue books or lost book fines are due by Tuesday, June 25th. Fines may be paid directly to the school or via the Parent Portal.
