Staffing Update

We wish Mrs. Jenna Moffatt all the best as she is taking a maternity leave starting on Monday, April 27. Ms. Kaylee Davies will be stepping in to finish off this school year in 1/2M. Ms. Davies has been a student teacher in kindergarten at LES this school year. We look forward to having her continue in our school for the rest of this year.

Class Placements for the 2026/2027 school year

Please see the attachment for a letter regarding the process for class placements for the 2026/2027 school year. If you, as the parent/guardian, feel that you have information supporting the school’s decision for class placement we ask that you email Ms. Jolene Kehler (jokehler@hsd.ca) by May 1, 2026. The request should be based on the list of considerations found in the attached letter.

 If you know that your child will not be attending LES next year, we would appreciate it if you let us know, as that helps with the planning for next year. 

Message from Landmark Collegiate:

Grade 7 Orientation

We are excited to get to know next year’s Grade 7 students! Grade 6 students will head to Landmark Collegiate on the morning of May 26th for a student orientation to help everyone get settled and comfortable with the school.

Parent Information Session

On the evening of May 26th at 6:00 pm, parents and guardians are invited to an information session about Grade 7 and Landmark Collegiate. Please meet us in the Learning Commons to learn more about the upcoming school year.

Instrument Night

On May 28th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, next year’s Grade 7 students are welcome to return to try out a variety of instruments. This session is designed to help students choose their instrument in preparation for taking Band this fall.
