National Truth and Reconciliation Recognition
Orange Shirt Day assembly – Monday, September 29, 9 am
Students are encouraged to wear orange shirts on this day in recognition of National Truth and Reconciliation Day. The Mason Hoop Dancers will be performing for our school in a 9 am assembly. Caregivers are welcome to join us for this event.
National Truth and Reconciliation Day – Tuesday, September 30 – No Classes on this day
Fall Phys. Ed Events
Terry Fox Run – Friday, October 3
Each year we continue the work of Terry Fox by participating in a school-wide Terry Fox Run and raising our own money for cancer research. From today until October 3, students are encouraged to bring a Toonie for Terry to the collection bin in the office.
Cross Country Runs
Cross Country Run – Wednesday, October 1
Cross Country Run #2 – Wednesday, October 8
Cross Country Runs are for students who have signed up through Mr. Renaud our Phys. Ed teacher. Mr. Renaud will hold some practices prior to the runs and communicate more information with the families of students who have committed to practicing and participating in the runs.
Thanksgiving Day – Monday, October 13
Picture day – Tuesday, October 14
Hot Lunch
Hot lunch will begin on Wednesday October 8th. We will alternate between pizza and meat buns again. Watch for the sign up email on Friday Sept 19th.
PTA Meeting Time Correction – The AGM for the LES/LCI PTA will be 6:00 pm instead of 5:00 pm on Monday, September 22. It should also be noted that all positions for the 2025-26 PTA have been filled.
**Reminder for parents to label their students outer wear as the weather gets cooler. It’s easier to have items returned to its owner if there are names on them. The Lost and Found is located outside the Main Office if your child has misplaced clothing items.
