Grade 6M

Grade 6 Supply List for 2009/10

Your child is asked to bring the items below to Meet the Teacher Night on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, anytime between 4:30 - 6:30 (yes, the night before school starts)! Your child will be responsible for unpacking and organizing their supplies this evening, in addition to checking out their classroom and saying hello to their grade 6 teacher. This will take approximately 20-30 minutes. If you and your child are unable to visit on this night, please call the school between 8:30 - 4:00 from August 31 - September 3 to arrange a visit with me during one of these days. It is very important for all students to have an organized and prepared start to the year. The following supply list is quite specific; my experience has shown what works best in the 6M classroom, so please follow this list as closely as possible. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at cmackid@hsd.ca during August. Looking forward to seeing you!

Thank you,
Mrs. Charmaine Mackid

In case you're wondering, these items are not needed and will be sent home:
pens, pencils (students get 10 from the school), scribblers, reinforcements, correction fluid, dictionary, thesaurus, duo tangs, white paper, page protectors, scissors, highlighters, mini-stapler, geometry set, protractor, tape, pencil sharpener

Students are welcome to bring items to temporarily stick on their locker doors (tape is available), and magnetic items are great! Combination or key locks are not allowed.

Awesome idea: have a collection of basic supplies at home. Pencils, pencil crayons, markers, scissors, ruler, etc. are always needed for homework at some point in the year!
